Event Details
This year we are back in Tualatin, home of the faux crawfish festival held every August. It's time for the LSU faithful to show our fellow Oregonians how to properly prepare and consume crawfish.
We'll have Louisiana crawfish boiled in Cajun's Choice crab boil by our own local alumni. We should also have ice cold beer (likely Abita) on tap and almost always have plenty of oysters on the half shell fresh from the Oregon Coast. We will also provide hot dogs and cold drinks. We party until all the crawfish are gone. Every year we raffle off lots of LSU merchandise, so be sure to stick around as you must be present to win! Feel free to bring a side dish (jambalaya, etoufee, etc.) to share but there is no obligation to do so. This is a family friendly affair and the park has ample room, a playground, sports facilities and even a boat launch if you want to kayak the Tualatin River. Dogs on leash are welcome. See how much fun we had in past years by clicking here. |
May 27 is the last day to buy tickets! Everyone who registers will receive a confirmation via email. There will be a check in table at the boil where you will receive a raffle ticket and bracelet. Make sure to
stick around for the raffle as you must be present to win! No refunds will be given after May 24 but registration is fully transferable. If for whatever reason you cannot attend, please find someone to go in your place. Better yet, go to our Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pdxlsualum and let your fellow alumni know. If you post a message to the Yahoo group, you should have no trouble finding someone to take your spot. The crawfish are flown up from Louisiana and once our order is placed, we can't get a refund or give you one. Questions???
